Pre-race Prep

So, it's the day before the race and I am in full jitter preparation mode. I decided to sleep late this morning, so the first thing I did when I woke up was eat breakfast and get ready for packet pick-up at the Broward County Convention Center. 

After waiting in this traffic for about 20 minutes:

 

 

I finally made it inside of the Convention Center:

 

 

Yay! I got my packet. I'm officially number 3444 and it's my first race as a 30 year old! (gulp)

 

 

After the convention center, I went home and ran 4 miles with a few strides at the end in order to activate the fast twitch fibers. It's good for leg turn-over in the race.

 

After the run, I took an excrutiating awesome ice bath to loosen up my legs and to relieve musle soreness.

After 15 minutes in 70lbs of ice, I still have a smile on my face =)
