  4. Hi Erika, okay so im 22 and run a lot....almost as much as you do but i am considering stoping for one reason. I just completed the police academy at pb self sponsored. i am already a small person and my running keeps my weight down quite a bit. im very worried that my petiteness will hold me back from being hired with a Department. do you have any thoughts or suggestions...i feel like this would be the one thing to hold me back

    With Love

  5. Cas, I don't think that running a lot will hinder your performance as a police officer. As a matter of fact, I think it'll suit you just fine. One suggestion I would make is to incorporate a little bit of weight training so you could build strength. I know runners loathe weights (I don't like it), but that'll help you build endurance and strength which are necessary to be a cop. I think you will be great! Good luck and let me know how it goes.

  6. Hello Erika! Have a question for you, do you run all your long runs at race pace or close to when training for your marathon? You have cut so much time off your marathons. Great job girl!! Amazing!

  7. Typically when I'm in marathon season, I run a portion of my long runs at marathon pace. Since the long run could go up to 23 miles, I won't do all 23 at MP, perhaps half of that. When I'm not training for a race, I go at an "easy" pace on my long runs. Thank you! =)

  8. Hi Erika! How do you keep yourself motivated with staying in shape? I'm having a lot of trouble getting off the couch and getting the exercise I need.
